Social interaction is an important part of the learning process and well-designed meeting and ‘break-out’ spaces can provide areas for small group learning and recreation. They can also provide facilities for individual study outside the classroom. Creating a variety of versatile spaces can open-up opportunities to extend the range of extra-curricular activities.
