The Group designed the detailed residential layouts, assisted in discharging the reserved matters and produced the production drawings for CALA Homes for the first two residential phases of the established master-plan for the Gateway Rugby development.
The two phases together provide 474 dwellings. The first phase is designed around a formal square of town houses that provides a focal point for the development. The square is part of a road pattern designed to manage the substantial gradients on a sloping site. The design objective of this phase is to provide a more formal layout, including terraces.
The second phase is designed as a more informal grouping of dwellings around the existing mature trees. In this phase, the mature trees surrounding the development provide focal points and contribute to a woodland setting.
