STUDENT HOUSING

CINEMA CONVERSION

This C19 corn exchange, converted to a cinema, a bingo hall, and then a nightclub, is a Grade II listed building.

Planning and listed building consent applications have been prepared to convert the upper part of the frontage building to residential use and erect a steel frame in the shell of the former cinema to support three floors of student accommodation.

The development will provide 69 studios and flats and achieve the retention of the classical façade facing the market square.
