FOOD STORE & MEDICAL CENTRE

MOSELEY, BIRMINGHAM

This scheme on a sensitive site in Moseley Village, Birmingham provides a 2,000 square metre local food store and a 600 square metre medical centre. The development includes an assisted living provision of fourteen apartments.

The site is located adjacent to a conservation area and planning consent was granted on the basis that the appearance of the retail element was designed as a continuation of the traditional terrace of adjoining shops. In contrast, the medical centre introduces contemporary architecture as a focal point in a prominent view from the village centre.
