Canal Side Development,

A scheme at Horseley Fields, Wolverhampton for CALA Homes is designed to explore the viability of a mixed-use development of high density housing, commercial and leisure uses on a brown-field site with extensive canal frontages.
The design approach is to reinforce the appearance of the canal-side location with robust buildings reflecting the traditional brick-built vernacular in the residential quarter, and to introduce crisp modern architecture around a succession of public spaces in the commercial and leisure quarters.
