Cotswold Chase, Stroud

Village Housing

This small development of family dwellings was designed by the Group for CALA Homes to make good use of brownfield land close to the settlement boundary of the town.

The scheme consists of twenty-six houses in a layout that minimises the area of adoptable highway and groups the dwellings in small courts. The development is designed in its elevational treatment and detail to integrate with the traditional vernacular of Cotswold town and village houses through the simplicity of style, modest proportions of window and door openings, and the use of stone in facades and boundary walls.
